When visiting game farms people often look at me funny when I say that I see a water buffalo every day of my life. Well above is the photo of our local Water Buffalo that we see daily in our commuting between Sharon Park and Dunnottar, Gauteng.

Besides the water buffalo there are also Zebra and a whole host of diferent species of buck to view as well.

Water Buffalo are one of the Big 5 and as such it is fairly unusual to see one anywhere but at a Zoo or a large game farm. Even then you are not guaranteed a sighting but in our quiet little town of Dunnottar we are fortunate enough to see this prime species on a daily basis.

A Whale Tail is the common expression used when a ladies Thong or G-String sticks out over her pants in a typical shape of a whale’s tail.

While this display of panties is mostly innocent and probably undesired by the lady concerned there are many instances where young and some not so young ladies wear their underwear and clothing carefully selected especially to create the whale tail effect.

It is rumoured that Monica Lewinsky first attracted Bill Clinton using the whale tail to it’s utmost effect. While Bill Clinton was in the office she bent down exposing her thong to his full view and got his interest (and probably other things) up!

Nowadays it is almost totally acceptable for the younger generation to wear their clothing in such a manner as to expose their lingerie to all. This is not only limited to a glimpse of the whale tail at the back while the lady is sitting but it has also become fairly common place for lingerie to stick out over low cut pants and jeans.

The Big Question – Sexy or Trashy?

Firstly, who am I to really judge. All I really am is a hot blooded male who would probably look as readily as any other male passing. Yet even for myself I must say that these glimpses of exposed lingerie can have two totally different reactions attached.

Reaction 1 – WoW!! - Sexy

There are quite a few occasions where my immediate reaction is one of “Hey that is sexy”. I must say that when analysing these glimpses it is mostly exactly that – a mere glimpse of an unintentional showing of underwear. Sexy quality lingerie exposed slightly when a lady bends over or sits.

Reaction 2 – Slutty or Trashy!!

Maybe I am getting old but mostly this is my exact reaction when a woman or girl dresses with the sole purpose of exposing her skimpy G-String or Thong. I have seldom encountered a women, who has specifically dressed with the purpose of exposing her lingerie in order to attract attention, that succesfully produced the WoW effect.

Conclusion

Sexiness is a something that is extremely difficult to define. It is like the “x” factor that some people have and others simply do not have.

Using tactics such as purposefully exposed lingerie often does not add but rather detracts from sex appeal.

The whale tail can be both super sexy and trashy – the big deciding factor is the way that it is displayed.

After a long cold winter Spring is eventually here (for the Southern Hemisphere that is).

True to Africa where there is really no Spring or Autumn seasons, we have virtually moved from freezing winter to sizzling summer temperatures in barely the space of a week.

Unlike the European continents where there are 4 distinct seasons, South Africa tends to ignore the lesser seasons of Autumn and Spring and rather concentrate on the main seasons of Winter and Summer. I should really rather wish you a happy summer.

Taliking of summer, how ready are you to be out and enjoying our lovey warm summer time.

Getting Beach Ready

Summer is a time of play. Braaivleis (BBQ) outdoors and swimming at the beach or pool are the popular daytime activities.

I was recently fortunate enough to spend a couple of days down at Umdloti beach on the North coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. The days were glorious compared to the Gauteng winter and as a result a few of these days were spent lazing on the beach and soaking in the warmth.

Although the beach was in no way near crowded and was mostly populated by Vaalies on holiday, one thing was very apparent, they were definitely not beach ready in terms of their body shape.

Apart from a few teens who had figures to show, most men and women were sporting costumes with rolls of fat on their bellies or on the sides. Love handles and beer boeps were definitely the order of the day. I really guess that they did not have time to prepare their bodies for the beach else they would have been taking some quality slimming tablets before they came down and revealed their bodies.

Preparing your body for the warm summer sun is really not as difficult as it seems. Diets and exercise may help but they are really the old fashioned way to getting rid of the extra fat accumulated in the long winter months where one easily turns to extra food for warmth and comfort.

While most fashion fades within months of erupting onto the market there are some items that just never ever go out of fashion.

While daily wear lingerie may succumb to slight fashion change such as the progression of the panties from the full granny type to the G-String, classic and classy lingerie items are more of an investment than any other single item of clothing that you may posses. You can wear some classy lingerie that you bought last century and still be high fashion!

Over the past century ladies panties have undergone a massive transformation which has seen the knee length bloomers get shorter and smaller and eventually end up as a small triangle shaped G-String.

As women have become more daring and open about their bodies so lingerie became smaller and smaller until such stage as just about nothing is left to the imagination anymore.

Looks just like a "C"

The latest lingerie invention is the C-String and although it has yet to catch on as a craze it does indicate just how much has changed in the world of lingerie and even swimming costumes where the C-String will probably make it’s biggest appearance.

The C-String does not have any strings on the side but is rather held in place by a springy frame much like an alice band. It does allow for great suntanning on the beach as it covers the vital spots without leaving strap lines on the sides.

While the C-String is perhaps the lastest invention in ladies panties it is not the most daring or revealing.

Crotchless panties are gaining in popularity but are in large mainly confined to use in the bedroom in order to brighten up some dull evenings.

Of course, on the other hand, there is always the Britney Spears choice of underwear.

When the decision becomes too difficult to make then just go without. Wearing no underwear is a fashion that did take off a little in the USA but has not really been significant in conservative South Africa.

One thing is sure and that is your choice of panties will reveal a whole lot more about you than you are probably prepared to tell. This often includes your age and even some of your inner most yearnings.

Further in the news, we have decided that for the meantime we will not be moving our Ruslana operation to the Cape. Unfortunately there are just too many things happening in our lives to be able to comfortably up and move our entire operation. Besides we are still very comfortable in the freezing cold that Gauteng is offering at the moment. At least it is a dry cold and not the wet cold of the Cape.

Just a quick update for you about the move of Ruslana to Cape Town.

Things have been going a lot slower than planned with the house sale. Unfortunately the banks are really not what they used to be. Despite a pre approved buyer with an excellent credit record, the banks have so far taken over a month and are still no further in approving the bond of the buyer of our house.

Until such time as the house is 100% sold, we can not make the big move and set up our new Ruslana Clothing store down in the Cape.

Some other great news is that Ruslana has negotiated to carry a small stock of the strongest fat burner diet pill on the market, Phen375, so that S.A customers can buy Phen375 locally. 2010 World Cup soccer kicks off in South Africa in less than 3 hours time. The streets are starting to go crazy with the sounds of the vuvuzelas, a plastic trumpet which has become the symbol of the world cup in South Africa. In fact the vuvuzelas started at before 05h00 this morning as as the sun rose, so did the constant blowing of the vuvuzelas.

South Africa is known as the rainbow nation, and this is really showing as fans are dressing up to show their support for Bafana Bafana, the South african team who are due to open the World Cup in the first match against Mexico.

Ruslana Moving

I know that I have been fairly quiet on the fashion front. This is mainly due to some massive moves that are busy taking place in Ruslana Clothing.

Ruslana Clothing is moving to Cape Town.

It is going to take a while for everything to be sold up – house on the market and sorting out new premises in Cape Town, but we are excited about a new beginning in the most beautiful city in South Africa.

The announcement of the move has taken many by surprise, but in order for us to continue in the clothing and fashion industry, it is absolutely essential – not to mention the fact that we will be close to those who are dearest to us – our children and grandchildren.

We are currently operating from our Gauteng base of Sharon Park until such time as we are able to do the physical move, but already our hearts are in Cape Town. Hopefully it will not be too long before we are up and established in the Cape.
